About Us

Run 4 Wales is one of the UK’s leading mass participation event delivery organisations, and possesses a collective passion for competitive endurance events and using sport as an enabler for organisational and leadership development.

The organisation is focused on the continued success and the development of the Dell Technologies Management Challenge delivering business benefits to competing clients and the support of their partner charities.

History and background to the Dell Technologies Management Challenge

The annual Duke of Edinburgh (“DofE”) Wales Corporate Adventure Race had taken place annually in either the Brecon Beacons or Snowdonia since 2006. This competitive event has always attracted a loyal following of a ‘blue chip’ corporate client base e.g. Toyota, PwC, Legal & General etc

In 2013, the event became the Management Challenge and in 2014 Dell become a title sponsor and strategic partner. In 2015 this agreement was extended for a further 3 years until 2017. Dell Technologies as Title Sponsors, have subsequently been joined by a portfolio of Associate Sponsors to include Microsoft, Ordnance Survey, Welsh Government, Autotask and LinkedIn.

In 2019 leading events delivery organisation Run 4 Wales added the Challenge to its portfolio of world-class mass participation events. The team behind events such as the Cardiff Half Marathon and Velothon Wales has used its extensive experience of staging mass participation events to take the Challenge to another level.

In 2021, Dell Technologies extended their title sponsorship agreement for 3 years and Run 4 Wales announced an exciting new venue for the event. It moved from Libanus to Hay-on-Wye in the Bannau Brycheiniog / Brecon Beacons National Park.
