How much impact can a team challenge make to business?

Two days out of the office cycling through the Welsh countryside or canoeing in picturesque lakes might sound like a holiday.

But the truth is, for businesses taking part in the Dell Technologies Management Challenge there is so much more to gain than a boost in morale.

Throughout the duration of the event, which takes place in Racquety Farm set within the stunning Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons)  between 6-8 June, teams of six will take part in an exciting multi-day adventure race that aims to strengthen bonds and enhance key skills.

Challenged across two days of canoeing, mountain biking, running, hiking, map reading and mind puzzles, competitors will be encouraged to push through the physical and intellectual pressure put upon them – taking what they’ve learnt back into the workplace with fresh motivation and a boost in performance.

Activities are designed to enhance leadership, communication and team working skills all while building up resilience and bringing out planning and decision-making abilities. Not only will this give teams a better insight into how to manage workplace stress, but it will also allow them to become more self-aware and increase confidence.

Past participants have recognised the benefits with 85% saying they felt their leadership and coaching skills improved and 95% seeing a positive impact on their teamwork.

84% left the Management Challenge feeling more confident and 82% said their communication was more effective as a result to taking part too.

Tariq Hussain, Senior Sales Director at Dell Technologies, said: “The Dell Technologies Management Challenge is designed to push participants to their limits and they’ll really have to dig deep and work together as a team to complete it. But the benefits they’ll gain as a result, and their sense of achievement will go unrivalled. They’ll take what they’ve learnt back into the workplace with fresh motivation and increased performance.”
